Self Love

Is Self Love A God Thing?

Within the body of Christ, we hear conflicting perspectives regarding self love. The most communicated perspective is the selfish intent regarding loving ourselves when we should be loving others to save them for Christ. Self Love is a spiritual wisdom principle and love response that requires us to understand the intent and thoughts of the Gods heart, our heart and the hearts of people. Self Love is purposed to manifest the spiritual identity of that our soul desires the most. This spiritual identity could be rooted in the identity of Satan’s spiritual mind of error or God’s Holy Spirit of truth.
There are two spiritual paths to go about practicing self love. One spiritual path increases the deceit and wickedness of one’s heart and the other spiritual path purifies the heart with the presence of faith, which is the living presence of God’s word in our soul redeeming us from the curse of the law. The word of God tells us in Acts 15:8-9;
So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Furthermore, the word of God tells us he will write his word on our hearts. This empowers an intimate knowing of self through understanding righteous self love. This equips us to love people as the presence of God’s living word has loved us. The word of God tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:2-3;
You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
Our soulish hearts are purposed to take on the spiritual identity of the Holy Spirit of the living God that is His heart; or take on the identity of the enemies self righteous heart. This is based on which Spirit, we choose to believe. In Deuteronomy 30:15-20, He tells us He puts blessings and curses before us life or death choose life. When we choose the living word of God we chose the gift of eternal life that is our faith. Therefore we choose the gift of righteous self love that is an intimate knowing and therefore intimate relationship with the Triune God in us making self love righteous when we understand self love God’s way.
Our freewill establishes a heart to heart covenant with God that is righteous self love or a heart to heart covenant with Satan that is a self righteous love which is deceitful and wicked because it is the image and likeness of Satan’s spirit of error in us that is false idol worship giving us self destructive thoughts, beliefs, perspectives, will, desires, emotions and actions. When we use our freewill to choose God, we worship God’s Holy Spirit of truth that is our righteous self love identity also known as our Christ identity that is the identity of the living word in our flesh. This is the living presence of God’s glory full of grace and truth purifying our hearts by faith to practice self love righteously. The more we understand so we can properly embrace the image and likeness of the Tribune God in us Who awakens righteous self love; we will become empowered and equipped to love people as we have learned from God to love ourselves. This is actually the love commandments that I call the love principles of Christ.

    1. Yes Ron! I love how you put it. Our love for ourselves must be founded on faith because faith is the seed of God’s Holy Love that purifies our heart with faith empowering us to love one another like He taught us to love ourselves. Mark 12:28-31
