Embrace Your Transformational Process

In life we all have many aspirations, goals, dreams of what we want to be and have in life. How do we keep what we have worked so hard to achieve? Well, it has a lot to do with us changing the way we think that requires us to change the way we believe. The old way of thinking has to be uprooted and replaced with the new way of thinking. This is way the word of God reveals to us in Isaiah 55:8 that God’s thoughts and ways are not like our thoughts and ways. God does not think like we think, but we have the opportunity to bring our thoughts and ways higher and become one with His thoughts and ways. Change and living a new lifestyle requires a change of the spirit, not just our actions. When the spirit of our mind changes, our whole life changes. You want to change the way you live then change the way you think. Often we here Romans 12:2 which tells us to not be conformed to the world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. Applying Romans 12:2 to our life is the beginning of our transformation.

Our transformation is established when the spirit of our mind is changed. Ephesians 4:23 tells us to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. To be renewed in the Spirit of your mind is to take on the mind of Christ. Philippians 2:5 tells us, let this mind be in you that is also in  Christ Jesus. In order for us to have the thoughts of Christ, we must first have the Spirit of Christ. I know that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that His Holy Spirit comes in to live in us. We connect with everything that His Spirit came to offer us by starting the process of renewing our mind with His word. This is the born again process, the renewal process, the restoration process of our mind, soul, spirit and body becoming one with the image and likeness of the Holy Spirit which resides in us. This born again process is designed to transform us back into the image and likeness for which we were first created. In Genesis 1:26, God said Let Us create man in our image and likeness. This image and likeness was stolen from us during the fall that occurred in Genesis 3:1-24.

Christ came to redeem us from the fall so we will have the opportunity to transform to the image and likeness for which God created us. This image and likeness is the thoughts and ways of God that empowers us to fulfill His first commandment found in Genesis 1:28 when He said, “Be fruitful and multiply: fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” It is impossible for us to fulfill this God’s way being separated from His thoughts and ways.

I encourage you to embrace the process of your transformation by starting the process of renewing the spirit of your mind that will renew the soul of your mind that will change the actions of your body that creates your lifestyle. The daily devotional I provide on this online publication is an opportunity to grow in Godly wisdom and understanding.
