The Kind Of Work That Fulfills

Are you a Mary or Martha? Martha is the busy Christian women working for Jesus before she establishes an intimate relationship through fellowship with Jesus. Mary is the woman who stays in God’s presence to establish a relationship through fellowship with Jesus before she goes and does work for Jesus (Luke 10:38-42).  Mary did the one thing that was needed, which was to sit at Jesus feet and enjoy relationship through fellowship in His presence, meditating on the living word. We can not go and physically work for God until He has the opportunity to spiritually fill us up with His presence. We have to be filled with His presence daily before we go and do the work of God.

We can not minister the word of God to people until we first become one with the wisdom and undestanding of the word of God. When the word of God is ministered to us, our mind, spirit, soul and body is cleansed to reflect the image and likeness of His living word. The word of God is our daily nutrition that empowers our mind to become one with the mind of Christ.

The more we allow God to prepare us in mind, spirit, soul and body; He has the opportunity to make us bear the fruits of His Holy Spirit. When we bear the fruits of His Holy Spirit,  we can multiply His Holy Spirit in other people who are called to love people as they have learned to love their self. When God released the blessing in Genesis 1:28, He said “28 Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Before we can multiply His presence in people, The fruits of His Holy Spirit must be fruitful in us. The word of God tells us in John 15:7, “If you abide in Me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. The word first said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. When Mary abided in Jesus presence, His living word had the opportunity to abide in her and  empower her to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit in her life. A fruitful life is a blessed life. When we overflow with the fruit of the Holy Spirit, we can multiply His presence in people as we replenish the earth utilizing our gifts and talents.

The one thing that is needed in our life is to choose the good thing like Mary and be at the feet of Jesus. Make it a priority to rest in His presence as you cultivate a relationship with Him. In His presence is the living word where you will receive the wisdom, knowledge and understanding  to accomplish the work you desire as you overcome life challenges. Before we can do the physical work, we must first become one with the spiritual work of intimately knowing Him.

God is committed to doing a perfect work in us until the day of Jesus Christ because He knows when the spiritual work is perfected in us, the physical work will be perfected through us.
