The Counterfeit Blessing

A counterfeit blessing appears to be the favor of God, but the purpose is to separate you from God’s real blessing. It always comes before the real breakthrough to try to deceive you and get you out of position of the real thing, which is the manifested promise of God. John 10:7-21 talks about Jesus being our Good Shepard. It also talks about the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Christ came that we may have life more abundantly. Anything God blesses us with brings us closer to being in relationship and fellowship with Him. He would not lead us further away from being in relationship and fellowship with Him. This relationship and fellowship is where we become one with God in mind, spirit, soul and body.

God desires that we stay in covenant relationship with Him as we increase in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). You see, God is the one who promotes us and places us in position of influence so we can be fruitful and multiply the presence of the Holy Spirit in us and towards our fellow neighbor. You see a true believer knows the voice of the Lord, but gets lost because of distractions, which are the strategies of the enemy to isolate them away from other believers in Christ. God uses His chosen leaders to awaken His children awareness of His presence in their lives.  However, before we can effectively lead we have to know how to hear the voice of the Lord ourselves so we can stay and be lead by God’s presence. Our whole person is where the presence of God resides. God elevates our spiritual discernment to go out to bring the lost believers back to the knowledge of  His presence at work in their lives.
The word of God tells us to beware of the hireling, who is not the Lord. Their purpose is to deceive the believers in Christ and separate them from God’s purpose and life assignments (John 10:7-16). The hireling is a hireling because he or she works for the love of money and does not work for the love of God. The word of God tells us in Matthew 6:24 You can not serve God and mammon. The word of God tells us in 1 Timothy 6:10 that the LOVE of money is the root of ALL EVIL. Whatever God blesses you with, it will be rooted in the purpose of spreading His love towards people. It will not be in the purpose of making money in spite of how it may hurt people. Money separates you from the love of God, but the love of God will bring money to you as a resource to fulfill His purpose in your life as He keeps you in His presence, which is heaven on earth. Working for money is the counterfeit blessing but working to stay in the presence of God is the real blessing.
The word of God in John 15:1-13 talks about “The True Vine”. When God gives you a purpose, it is rooted in abiding in His presence so you can manifest His image according to His likeness and be disciplined to grow more in His image and likeness. God desires us to stay in His presence because when we are in His presence, we experience heaven on earth. When we experience heaven on earth we are at peace with God and mankind (Proverbs 16:7).
